This project aims to develop a framework to support decision-making about species suitability based on biophysical factors, plantation purpose and product and market opportunities. It will consist of a literature review, historical trial information analysis and targeted stakeholder consultation to inform a tool for species selection suitable for the region. It will focus on a small number of most promising species with identification of silvicultural regimes for consideration. The option of a web-based decision support tool will be explored.
