For the forestry industry to expand in the Northern Territory, guidance for potential participants is needed. Forestry activities are governed by several Acts, so it has been identified that there is need for a comprehensive information resource. This project focuses on pastoral lease land and Aboriginal freehold land as the most common land tenures in the NT and will provide guidance on how to develop a plantation or native forestry project. It will also offer guidance and resources for participation in carbon markets.
